The Dogs of March are a three-piece rock band from Pitsburgh, PA. Always and only ever appearing in the
primal tradition of the guitar-bass-drums power trio, the band was formed in 1993 when Barret Black,
Mac Howison, and Rob Long met in their late teens. Rarely functional as a cover band but reliably joyful,
explosive, unpredictable when exploring their 30-year deep archive of original material, the Dogs drink
from a well of disparate influences including classic and punk rock, prog and metal, funk, blues, improv,
noise and classical. Primarily a live band with limited recorded material available, the Dogs of March sound
and performance style has been described as “bombastic”, “frenetic”, and “loud” by fans and critics.
